STEP 1- Use a putty knife to gentle break down the wax and wipe away any excess crayon residue from your carpet. 

STEP 2- Mix a little water with Dawn liquid dish soap for a cleaning solution. You only need to use a tiny bit of soap as it is very concentrated. Too much soap can bee difficult to rinse. 

STEP 3- Before applying the soap and water solution to the crayon stain, you’ll want to first test it out on an inconspicuous area of the carpet such as the inside of a closet to make sure it won’t cause the fibers to bleed. It’s generally a good idea to test out any carpet cleaning products before using them on areas of your carpet.

STEP 4- Next go ahead and apply the cleaning solution to the crayon stained area. To do this, you’ll want to take a small towel and pour it directly onto the towel and then gently blot the crayon stain until it begins to transfer onto the towel.

STEP 5- You may need to repeat this process until you get all of the stain removed, Then take a wet cloth rinsed in cold water and blot instead of wiping or rubbing. When you’re finished, you can use fan to help the carpets dry quicker.
