1. Blot it up immediately before a spill spreads deep into fibers.

3. For food spills: Gently scrape the substance from the upholstery with a blunt no sharp tool like a spoon, scraping carefully toward the center. Clean any wet residue as a liquid spill. For dry spills: Adding any carpet cleaning spotters to a normally dry substance may cause a permanent stain. Vacuum your upholstery with a vacuum extension, vacuum again until solids are extracted.
4. Always test product for color fastness or a carpet cleaning chemical by applying to a part of a cushion on a hidden area of the upholstered piece. Allow to dry completely, then check its effect on the fabric to make sure no dye bleeding occurs

8. To avoid water stains, use a commercial fan to accelerate drying. Dry from the outer edge of the affected area toward the center.
